Tsunoshima Bridge & Kita-Nagato Coast.
A coastal day loop across the top of Yamaguchi Prefecture, ending at one of Japan's most photographed bridges. From the samurai castle town of Hagi the road follows the rugged Kita-Nagato coast past the grassy Senjojiki plateau to Tsunoshima, where a 1,780m bridge arcs over impossibly clear emerald water to a quiet island. Easy, flowing tarmac with the Sea of Japan in constant view.
