On the web you are billed as soon as you subscribe, for the plan you pick, and it renews each month or year until you cancel. Web checkout has no free trial. On iPhone, the annual plan can include a free trial for first-time subscribers; the App Store shows any trial before you confirm.
If you subscribed on the web, open your Profile and click “Manage subscription” on the Pro banner — that opens the billing portal where you can cancel in one click. If you subscribed on iPhone or iPad, cancel in Settings › your name › Subscriptions; on Android, in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions. Your Pro features stay active until the end of the current billing period.
Yes — there’s no lock-in. Cancel whenever you like from the same place you subscribed (see “How do I cancel my subscription?” above), and you keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
AI diagnostics, receipt scanning and offline map data all cost us something every time you use them (AI models, Mapbox, Supabase). A subscription pays for that usage and lets us keep shipping, while logging maintenance and expenses stays free for everyone.
