A full circuit of Awaji Island in the Seto Inland Sea — connecting the world's longest suspension bridge in the north to the famous Naruto Whirlpools tidal vortices in the south. The west coast Sunset Line hugs sea cliffs while the east coast returns through onion farms and fishing towns. Best in spring and autumn.

Michi no Eki AwajiStart · Start at the rest area at the foot of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge on the Awaji shore. Fuel up here — the western coast has no major fuel stops for 80km.
Akashi Kaikyo Bridge ViewPhoto Spot · The world's longest suspension bridge at 3,911m main span connects Kobe to Awaji. The observation area on the Awaji side gives the clearest view of both 297m towers rising above the Kii Channel.
