A single long day covers 200km from Naha to Cape Hedo, the northernmost tip, and back via the east coast. The north (Yanbaru) is dense subtropical jungle; the south holds Ryukyuan castle ruins and WWII peace memorials. Best November–April to avoid typhoon season.
