Mount Ibuki Driveway — Lake Biwa & the Alps Panorama.
The Ibuki Driveway is a 17 km toll road that spirals almost to the 1,377 m summit of Mount Ibuki, the highest peak between Nagoya and Kyoto and one of the hundred famous mountains of Japan. From the summit car park the panorama sweeps across Lake Biwa and, on clear days, the Japan Alps. The route starts at the old battlefield town of Sekigahara and descends to the Lake Biwa shore at Nagahama and Maibara.
