Akinada Tobishima Kaido — Kure to Okamura Island.
The quieter island-hopping cousin of the famous Shimanami Kaido. Seven bridges link a chain of Geiyo islands across the Seto Inland Sea from Kawajiri in Kure to Okamura Island on the Ehime border, running mostly along the coast with constant sea views. The highlight is the preserved Edo-era port town of Mitarai. Tolls are charged only at the Akinada Ohashi bridge; the rest is free.

Kure (Kawajiri)Start · Fuel up in Kure. The Kaido proper begins at Kawajiri; the only toll on the whole chain is the Akinada Ohashi onto the first island.
