Fuji Five Lakes Circuit — Yamanashi.
A circuit of the five lakes formed by Mt Fuji's past eruptions. Each lake offers a different angle of the volcano on clear days. The Aokigahara forest (Sea of Trees) spreads across a vast lava field on Fuji's northwest flank. The Subaru Line toll road climbs to the 5th Station at 2,305m.
