The Timmelsjoch (Passo del Rombo) at 2,509 m straddles the Austrian-Italian border between the Ötztal in Tyrol and the Passeier Valley in South Tyrol. The Austrian side (B186) is a technical series of tight hairpins; the Italian side (SS44bis) drops into wide, flowing curves — two completely different riding experiences on a single pass.
