A long, lonely run across the southern Anti-Atlas frontier, linking a string of palm oases along the edge of the Sahara. From the desert town of Foum Zguid the road threads through Tissint's saltwater cascades, the great palmeraie of Tata, and the ancient caravan oases of Akka and Aït Ouabelli, famous for prehistoric rock engravings.
