The legendary Piste de Jaffar carves through the Cirque de Jaffar, a vast natural amphitheatre of red and ochre cliffs at the foot of Jbel Ayachi (3,757m), Morocco's eastern High Atlas giant. Rated one of the country's most spectacular and demanding mountain tracks, this rough unpaved crossing links Midelt to Tounfit through cedar forest, river fords and remote Berber hamlets. A high-clearance dual-sport and dry weather are essential.

MideltStart · Start in Midelt, the apple capital between the High and Middle Atlas. Fuel up and carry water — there is no reliable fuel on the piste.
