Nemuro Peninsula & Cape Nosappu — Easternmost Japan.
A remote day ride to the far eastern edge of Japan. From the fishing city of Nemuro the road runs to Cape Nosappu, the easternmost point reachable by road, where the disputed Habomai islets sit just offshore. The loop takes in the vast Lake Furen wetland and the surreal Notsuke sandspit with its ghost forest of dead trees. Wild, windswept, and far from the tourist trail.
