Two days riding through the Thar Desert from the Blue City to the Golden City — two of Rajasthan's most iconic royal fortresses. The NH125 crosses flat semi-desert scrubland with camel caravans, peacocks on roadside trees, and the occasional village where time has barely moved. Jaisalmer fort rises from the desert like a mirage.
