A 320km two-day Meghalaya circuit from Brahmaputra-side Guwahati up onto the Khasi Hills plateau to Shillong, then south to the wettest place on earth at Cherrapunji and onwards to the cleanest village in Asia at Mawlynnong and the crystal-clear Umngot River at Dawki. Best ridden October to March, after the monsoon and before the heat.

Cherrapunji (Sohra)Photo Spot · Officially the wettest inhabited place on earth (record annual rainfall above 11,000mm). Nohkalikai Falls drops 340m — Indias tallest plunge waterfall. The living-root bridges hike from Tyrna village is unmissable for a longer stay.
MawlynnongScenic Point · Officially the cleanest village in Asia. Bamboo dustbins on every path, no plastic, and a treehouse-style sky-walk over the Bangladesh plain visible 30km south on clear days.
DawkiPhoto Spot · Border town on the Umngot River. The water is so clear that boats appear to float on air — a photo phenomenon that has gone viral on Indian social media.
ShillongEnd · Return to Shillong via Pynursla. The descent road from Mawkdok Valley back to Shillong has dozens of switchbacks through pine forest — best riding of the trip.
