The most beautiful tea country in India — a 2-day loop from coastal Kochi up into the Western Ghats to Munnar (1,600m) and the panoramic Top Station viewpoint at 1,700m. The road climbs through rubber and cardamom plantations into the green corduroy hills of the Kannan Devan tea estates. Cool air, cardamom fragrance, and the cleanest hill station roads in southern India. Best ridden September–March (post-monsoon).
