Pasighat to Mechuka — Siang Frontier to the Hidden Valley.
The ultimate Arunachal frontier traverse: three days from Pasighat on the Siang, up the Siyom to Aalo, then along the rough ATMYL road over Tato to Mechuka — a hidden Buddhist valley of Memba villages and gompas within sight of the Tibetan frontier. Broken tarmac gives way to landslide-prone track; carry spares, fuel and an Inner Line Permit. One of India's great border rides.

PasighatStart · The oldest town in Arunachal, where the Siang (Brahmaputra) leaves the hills. Fuel, ILP and provisions before heading up the valley.
PanginScenic Point · Confluence of the Siyom and Siang rivers, crossed by dramatic suspension bridges. The road turns up the Siyom toward Aalo.
AaloOvernight · West Siang HQ on the Siyom — the last well-stocked town. Guesthouses and fuel; from here the ATMYL frontier road gets rough.
TatoOvernight · Shi Yomi district HQ at ~1,347 m after a long, broken climb. Basic lodging; a hard day's ride on landslide-prone track.
MechukaEnd · The hidden valley at ~1,900 m near the LAC — Memba Buddhist villages, the 400-year-old Samten Yongcha gompa and snow peaks. Journey's end.
