The R27 West Coast Road runs north from Cape Town through fishing villages, salt pans and the wildflower country of the Cape West Coast. Start under Table Mountain at Bloubergstrand, skirt the turquoise Langebaan Lagoon and the West Coast National Park, and finish among the whitewashed cottages of Paternoster — famous for crayfish and some of the country's best seafood. Easy, open cruising with the Atlantic always on your left.
