The R303 climbs out of the fruit-growing Ceres valley over the Gydo Pass onto the Koue Bokkeveld — a high, cold apple-and-rooibos plateau — before dropping through the Cederberg foothills to Citrusdal. A mix of sweeping tar switchbacks and quiet gravel, with big mountain panoramas and roadside stalls heavy with Ceres fruit.

CeresStart · Start in Ceres, the fruit-basket town in a mountain bowl. Snow dusts the peaks in winter. Fuel up before the plateau — services thin out beyond Op-die-Berg.
