A relaxed day loop from Dehradun into one of Uttarakhand's least-visited hill cantonments. The road climbs from the Yamuna–Tons confluence at Kalsi — site of a 2nd-century-BC Ashokan rock edict — through deodar forest to the hushed colonial town of Chakrata at 2,118m, then out to Tiger Falls, India's highest direct-drop waterfall. Empty, well-surfaced mountain corners far from the tourist crowds.

DehradunStart · Start in Dehradun. Take the Vikasnagar road west toward Kalsi; fuel up before the hills.
