Gurez Valley — Srinagar to Dawar over Razdan Pass.
One of Kashmir's most remote and beautiful rides, into a frontier valley on the Line of Control that was closed to outsiders for decades. From Srinagar the road skirts vast Wular Lake to Bandipora, then climbs the 3,556m Razdan Pass — snowbound and closed all winter — before dropping into the Kishanganga (Neelum) valley of Gurez, home to the Dard-Shina people and dominated by the pyramid peak of Habba Khatoon. Permits and ID required; rideable roughly May–October.
