The Putty Road (Singleton Road) is the holy grail of NSW motorcycle roads — 189km of tight twisties through Wollemi National Park between Sydney's outer northwest and the Hunter Valley. Limited intersections, no towns for 100km of the middle, and a serious police presence. Riders meet at the Grey Gum Cafe halfway for coffee and bench-racing. Dawn departure beats the weekend traffic.
