One of Australia's most photogenic coastal rides, hugging the Illawarra escarpment south of Sydney. From the hang-gliding launch at Bald Hill the road drops to the cantilevered Sea Cliff Bridge, which juts out over the Tasman Sea, then follows the coast through Wollongong and the rainforest fringe to the blowholes of Kiama.

Bald Hill Lookout, Stanwell TopsStart · Start at the famous hang-gliding lookout above Stanwell Park — sweeping views down the escarpment and the coast you're about to ride. Fuel up in Helensburgh first.
Sea Cliff BridgePhoto Spot · The 665m balanced-cantilever bridge curves out over the ocean between Coalcliff and Clifton. Pull into the northern car park to walk it — one of only a handful of offshore parallel-to-coast bridges in the world.
Wollongong HarbourRestaurant · Lunch on the harbour. The twin lighthouses at Flagstaff Point and Belmore Basin are a short, worthwhile detour.
