AdıyamanStart · Depart before 7 am — the summit view over the Euphrates valley is clearest before midday heat haze. Fill up here; no reliable fuel between Kahta and the summit.

KahtaFuel Stop · Last fuel stop before the climb. Fill the tank completely — the summit loop is 80 km of tight switchbacks. The çay house near the station is good for a pre-ride breakfast.

Arsameia Archaeological SiteScenic Point · Ruins of the ancient Commagene capital. A 10 m relief carving shows King Antiochus shaking hands with Heracles, cut directly into the cliff face — short detour off the summit road.

Nemrut Dağı SummitMountain Pass · At 2,134 m, the summit terrace holds the giant stone heads of Zeus, Apollo, Tyche, Heracles and Antiochus — toppled by earthquakes over 2,000 years. Park at the car park 400 m below and walk up. No guardrails on the final approach.

Karadut VillageRestaurant · Small village below the north slope with a seasonal restaurant. Grilled lamb and tea before the descent back to Kahta.
