The Bjørgavegen mountain road climbs from the Aurlandsfjord to 1,306m on the Aurland Plateau, staying above the snowfields even in summer. A UNESCO-listed Norwegian Scenic Route offering some of the most spectacular fjord and mountain panoramas in Scandinavia. The road is only open June–October.
