Two days crossing the High Atlas and descending into the pre-Saharan Draa Valley. The N9 climbs to Tizi n'Tichka (2,260m) — the highest pass in the High Atlas — then drops to the oasis city of Ouarzazate. Day 2 follows the Draa river through 100km of palm oases and kasbahs (earthen fortresses) to Zagora, where the Sahara begins.
