Flysch Coast — Zarautz to Mutriku.
A short, scenic coast run along the Gipuzkoa Geopark. From the surf beach of Zarautz the road hugs the shore past Getaria, with its mouse-shaped islet and txakoli vineyards, to Zumaia, where the striped flysch cliffs — layered rock laid down over 60 million years, and a Game of Thrones filming location — rise from the sea. It continues through Deba to the steep old fishing port of Mutriku. Gentle, salty, and spectacular.
