Basque Coast — San Sebastián to Bilbao.
The classic two-day ride across the whole Basque coast, linking the region's two great cities by the sea road rather than the motorway. Day one runs west from San Sebastián through the flysch geopark and a string of fishing ports to an overnight in Lekeitio. Day two winds through the Urdaibai biosphere reserve to Gernika, up to Bermeo and the island-hermitage of Gaztelugatxe, and finally down into Bilbao. Endless coves, green headlands and seafood.
