Overview

Deutsche Alpenstraße — Lake Constance to Berchtesgaden.

Germany's most scenic mountain road traverses the pre-Alps from Lake Constance to Berchtesgaden — 450km of Bavarian and Allgäu landscapes with the Austrian Alps as a constant backdrop. Three days through alpine meadows, onion-domed churches, royal castles, and the eagle's nest at Berchtesgaden. Fewer crowds than the Austrian routes with all the alpine drama.
