A two-day ride up the eastern Cordillera of Boyacá to the foot of the Sierra Nevada del Cocuy, Colombia's most spectacular glaciated range. From Duitama the road climbs past the date-palm valley of Soatá to the whitewashed highland villages of El Cocuy and Güicán, where glaciers rise above 5,000m directly overhead.
