The North Yungas Road descends 3,600m from the Andean altiplano at 4,650m to the subtropical Yungas cloud forest at 1,200m in just 64km. Known as the World's Most Dangerous Road, it claimed 200–300 lives annually before a bypass was built. Now primarily used by downhill mountain bikers, motorcyclists ride the return climb — steep, single-track in sections, with sheer drops and no guardrails.
