South Yungas Road — La Paz to Chulumani.
The quieter, southern sibling of the famous Death Road. From La Paz the highway climbs to La Cumbre at 4,650m, then a cliff-hugging road with more than 50 hairpins plunges 3,000m off the altiplano into the subtropical coca terraces of Chulumani (1,740m). Fewer tourists, same jaw-dropping drop into the Yungas.
