The Gibb River Road is one of the world's great adventure rides — 660km of unsealed red laterite through the Kimberley, Australia's most remote wilderness. Dramatic gorges, Aboriginal rock art, swimming holes, million-acre cattle stations, and the Cockburn Range backdrop. Accessible only May–October (Wet season closes the road completely). A 4WD adventure bike is recommended.
