A compact day loop from Hobart to the wild Tasman Peninsula, where the Southern Ocean smashes into 300m dolerite cliffs. The peninsula is connected to mainland Tasmania by a 30m-wide isthmus — Eaglehawk Neck — once a chained dog line keeping 19th-century convicts on Port Arthur. Tessellated pavement, blowholes, the convict ruins themselves, and the dramatic Remarkable Cave finish. Ride clockwise to keep the sea on your left.
