Overview

Doi Ang Khang Royal Project Circuit — Chiang Rai Highlands Loop.

A northern Thailand highland loop from Chiang Rai to Doi Ang Khang — Thailand's coldest mountain at 1,928m. The Royal Agricultural Research Station founded by King Bhumibol in 1969 grows temperate fruits and flowers impossible in tropical Thailand: strawberries, peaches, and roses at altitude. The route traverses the far-north border country via Tha Ton on the Kok River before climbing to the station through pine and cherry-blossom forest.
