Doi Suthep & Doi Pui — Chiang Mai's Sacred Mountain.
The classic half-day climb out of Chiang Mai up the twisting Route 1004 to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, the golden temple that watches over the city, then higher to the royal Bhubing Palace gardens and the Hmong village near the summit of Doi Pui (1,685m). Short, cool, and endlessly winding — the perfect morning ride.
