The highest mountain pass road in Slovenia at 1,611m, Vrsic was built by Russian POWs in WWI. A spectacular 50-hairpin ascent from Kranjska Gora drops into the wild Soča valley at Trenta. Exposed ridge views, dramatic switchbacks, and a poignant Russian Chapel halfway up.
