A weekend favourite from the Lima coast into the Andes, following the Cañete river canyon up to the turquoise lagoons of the Nor Yauyos-Cochas reserve. From the vineyards and rafting of Lunahuaná the road climbs through a narrowing gorge to Huancaya at 3,586m, where the upper Cañete tumbles over travertine cascades between stone-arch bridges.
