Two days crossing the 4,420 m Sach Pass, the highest and toughest motorable link between the Chamba and Pangi valleys of Himachal Pradesh. Tarmac gives way to mud, scree and snow-fed water crossings on a route that opens only from late June to October. A genuine expedition for experienced adventure riders.

TissaOvernight · Overnight in this deodar-forested Churah-valley town. Last proper hotels; beyond Bairagarh (2,800 m) the surface turns to dirt. Rest and acclimatise.
Sach Pass SummitMountain Pass · 4,420 m. Snow walls stand into July, with loose scree and meltwater fords. Cross before noon before the streams swell — India's most demanding motorable pass.
KillarEnd · Remote Pangi headquarters in the Chenab gorge. Basic guesthouses and a fuel point. Gateway to the infamous Killar–Kishtwar cliff road.
