Overview

Pehuenia Araucaria Lakes — Aluminé to Moquehue.

A short but spectacular ride through Neuquén's pehuén country, where forests of ancient monkey-puzzle trees fringe volcanic lakes along the Chilean border. From the rafting town of Aluminé the RP23 runs north to the twin lake villages of Villa Pehuenia and Moquehue beneath the Batea Mahuida volcano.
