Ruta 9 Cornisa — Salta to San Salvador de Jujuy.
The old Route 9 between Salta and Jujuy — the Camino de Cornisa — threads 92 km of narrow, tree-tunnelled tarmac through the Yungas cloud forest with more than 500 curves. Barely wide enough for a car, it climbs from colonial Salta into dripping subtropical jungle before dropping into Jujuy. A legendary northern-Argentine ride, best taken slowly.
