Goto Islands — Fukue Island Circuit.
A full-day loop around Fukue, the largest of the remote Goto Islands off the west coast of Kyushu. The ride strings together hidden-Christian churches, a grassy volcanic cone, turquoise beaches and the cliff-top Osezaki Lighthouse at Kyushu's western edge.

Fukue PortStart · The ferry gateway from Nagasaki. Fuel up in town before heading out — services thin quickly once you leave Fukue city.
Dozaki ChurchScenic Point · Goto's oldest brick church (1908), 9km north of the port. Heart of the islands' hidden-Christian history, when believers worshipped in secret for 250 years.
Onidake Grassland VolcanoScenic Point · A grass-covered scoria cone you can ride up. Open ocean panorama in every direction; a favourite of local riders at sunset.
Takahama BeachPhoto Spot · Widely rated one of Japan's finest white-sand beaches — clear turquoise shallows framed by green headlands. View it from the Gyogasaki lookout above.
Osezaki Lighthouse ViewpointScenic Point · A white tower on cliffs 150m above the sea at the western tip of Fukue — effectively the western edge of Kyushu. The lighthouse itself is a 40-minute walk; the road overlook is enough.
Tamanoura HarbourRestaurant · A sheltered fishing port. Lunch on Goto udon (thin, springy noodles) and the local Goto beef before the run back east.
Fukue PortEnd · Return to the port for the evening ferry, or stay the night in Fukue town.
