The Bonari Green Line and old National Route 115 cross the Bonari highland between Lake Inawashiro and the hot springs of Fukushima City. It is a climb-and-plunge ride — up through the sulphur hamlet of Nakanosawa to the 972m Bonari Pass, then a long forested descent to Tsuchiyu Onsen at the foot of Mt Adatara.
