The Phillip Island loop combines two of motorsport's sacred sites — the Grand Prix Circuit where the Australian MotoGP has run since 1989, and the world-famous Penguin Parade at Summerland Beach. Add in The Nobbies fur seal colony and Cowes's beachfront strip and you have one of Victoria's great day rides, easily done from Melbourne in a long weekend.
