Springbrook & Mount Tamborine — Gold Coast Hinterland Loop.
A high-altitude loop through the Tweed Volcano caldera — the eroded heart of a 23-million-year-old shield volcano that once rose 2,000m. Mount Tamborine, Beechmont, and the Springbrook plateau are all remnants of the rim, with cliff-edge lookouts in every direction and World Heritage subtropical rainforest tucked into the gullies. Twisty plateau roads connect them — a Gold Coast hinterland classic.
