Mount Glorious & Mount Nebo — Brisbane's D'Aguilar Range Loop.
Brisbane's favourite half-day ride climbs from suburban streets into subtropical rainforest in 20 minutes. The D'Aguilar Range road (Route 8 — Mount Nebo Road) winds north from The Gap through Mount Nebo (530m) and Mount Glorious (670m) — two tiny villages perched on a forested ridge with views east to the Brisbane skyline and west to Lake Wivenhoe. Returns via Samford Valley's green pastoral country. Best ridden mid-week — weekends bring heavy enforcement and a 60km/h limit through the rainforest sections.
